A theft of gold bullion
Have you ever counted in how many movies you can find a theme which is connected with gold bullion theft or robbery? It is sometimes the main plot or sometimes it is only a background for all other actions and ideas which appeared in the head of a director. Well, there are really a lot of films which describe such stories. A gold bullion robbery is also present in "The Italian job" (2003) starring Mark Wahlberg, Charlize Theron and Donald Sutherland. The movie is about a team of robbers that will do one final job - stealing $30 million in gold bullion - in Venice, Italy. The plan is flawless and the execution of the plan is perfect. They escape and wont have to work for the rest of their lives. But there is one problem they didnt take into account: Someone within their own ranks doesnt like to split the loot, but wants to keep it all for himself, even when that means he will have to kill the rest of the crew. But all but one survive and they are out for revenge. One year later, in Los Angeles this time, the surviving team members create a smart and devious plan to steal back the gold bullion and get their revenge on the traitor. How interesting it would seem this is not the kind of movie and theme I personally like.
